Drummer Wanted

Earthshine is looking for a dynamic and creative drummer. Someone who is an active songwriter, open to playing existing drum parts, and also comfortable with jamming (and have good jazz chops). We also incorporate keyboards and loops/samples whenever we can, so the ability to play with a click track is an added bonus.

We’ve been together a couple of years, and have lots of completed songs and plenty of material to work on. Our collective influences include Ben Harper, Beth Orton, Ani Defranco, Galactica, Jeff Buckley, NorthMississippi Allstars, Fatboy Slim, Police, Radiohead, Rush, Yes, and U2. We have a very eclectic sound, combining Alt. Rock, Folk, Funk, Electronic, Jam and Prog. We strive to sound original (melding all of our influences), and foster collaboration by crafting songs for jams or building on a band-member’s song idea

We have a practice space (with P.A.) in Kearney Mesa and practice twice a week (must be willing to chip in for room rent).  Our goals are to record a full CD and gig regularly.  We are in our 30's (if that matters) and dedicated to creating music, but are not aiming for the “Rock Star” dream. We aim to build a presence in the SD music scene and have fun while doing it.  Please, no egos or substance abuse (but please have a sense of humor and good work ethic).
